Synopsis:
At a high school where Akana Aikawa works as a teacher, a rumor exists of a video. The video is purported to show someone committing suicide. Then Akane Aikawa's student Noriko kills herself. During that time, more suspicious deaths occur one after another. The police concludes that the deaths are suicides. What the police miss is that a key element exists in all of the students' deaths. Akane is a high school teacher who hears a rumor from her students that there is actual footage on the Internet that depicts someone's suicide. The footage is said to drive anyone who sees it to commit suicide too. Akane does not believe the rumor at first, but when one of her female students dies after viewing the footage, she and her boyfriend Takanori are drawn into the horror that has been created by the man who appears in the suicide footage, Kashiwada. Kashiwada's intention is to create chaos in the world by bringing back Sadako and the power of her curse. Koji Suzuki has penned the script for the flick coming to us from Kadokawa Shoten Company.Sadako, identified by her long black hair covering her face, has become an iconic character in the Japanese horror genre. Suzuki, the author of the original Ring novel series, indicated that the new 3D film will include a scene of Sadako coming out of a television set, similar to the original.
