Hong Kong veteran Sean Lau portrays a jaded, demoralized policeman in the film. "I know he is a brilliant actor, so I've allowed him to portray a role which is far removed from his usual roles."
Wang Baoqiang, known for his simple and honest approach to acting, is set to steal the show with his breathtaking portrayal of a twisted serial killer.
"It's a tough job," Wang Baoqiang said, "Thailand is a strange place and the role was extremely stressful for me."

The title of the film changed several times before "Fairytale Killer" was decided upon. Pang said the reason for the name changes was because the previous titles may have misled some children.
